Every weekend during the school year, students in the Bloomsburg Area School District and Columbia-Montour AVTS are sent home with a bag of breakfast, lunch and snack items. We provide Panther Packs to approximately 325 children weekly.
Panther Pack Contents:
Breakfast bar or a cup of cereal, 2 Bloomin' Bagels
2-3 entree options: mac n' cheese, tomato sauce and pasta, canned tuna, canned soups and pastas, peanut butter
2-3 fruits and vegetables: applesauce or fruit cups, apples, oranges, carrots and celery (with Ranch dressing)
2-3 single serving snack options: crackers, pretzels, chips, granola bar, pudding
Many of our items are generously donated, but we do purchase additional items to round out the Panther Packs. It costs about $5 per pack to add these satisfying, nutritious foods.
$20 will provide one Panther with packs for a month
$180 will provide one Panther with packs for an entire school year
Donations of food items (see above) are always welcome!
Please help us fight food insecurity in our community.
